Hurricane Heroes is a community platform created by an Estero High School student to help Southwest Florida communities during hurricanes. It connects shelters with donors and volunteers by showing real-time information about what each shelter needs.
Visit our homepage to see what each shelter currently needs. You can view needs by region, category, or priority. Once you've donated items, log your donation on our Donate page so we can track community contributions.
Click the Volunteer link in our navigation to sign up. You'll provide your name, contact info, preferred shelter, availability, and any relevant skills. Our team will contact you when help is needed.

Visit our Request Help page to submit a need request. Provide the item you need, quantity, urgency level, and your nearest shelter. Our team reviews all requests and works to fulfill them.
Each shelter has a designated Shelter Admin who logs in to update their current needs in real time. This ensures donors always see the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Hurricane Heroes is a free community service platform created by a local high school student. There are no fees to use the platform. It is designed purely to help the Southwest Florida community during hurricane season.
